GRAVEL LAWN SUBSTRATE 0-32

The interground-Schotterrasensubstrat 0-32 is a ready-to-use lawn substrate for lawns with occasional use loads (N1-N3 sowie NFw lt. FLL), consisting of pumice, lava and soil.

A gravel lawn is an area that is suitable for occasional use and is grassed over with grass. It means a closed lawn surface with only a small proportion of visible stones.

Within the scope of planning, it must be checked which construction methods are to be used in each case.

The following construction methods are distinguished for areas with gravel turf:

• construction method 1: areas exclusively for car traffic
• construction method 2: same as construction method 1, additionally with low truck and bus traffic
• construction method 3: as construction method 2, but with higher truck and bus traffic

The expected truck and bus share must be determined on a case-by-case basis.

For gravel lawns, this results in the following standard construction methods and guide values for the thickness of the vegetation base layer:

• standard construction method SR 1:
  single-layer structure,
  15 - 25 cm high vegetation base layer
  
• standard design SR 2:
  single-layer construction,
  25 - 30 cm tall vegetation base layer
  
• standard design SR 3:
  two-layer construction,
  20 cm high vegetation base layer with base layer as subsoil
